Every dog and every family is different, so treat this as a realistic shape, not a guarantee. This is the pattern we see most often.
FIRST SESSION
Assessment and Baseline
We spend real time understanding your lifestyle before we touch a single command. We then begin foundations.
Most dogs start responding to basic structure within the first session or two.
EARLY WEEKS
Foundation Commands Take Hold
Sit, stay, place, and loose leash walking start becoming consistent at home. Consistency away from you, around guests or in public, usually takes a bit longer.
MID-PROGRAM
Real-World Testing
This is where training gets pressure-tested outside the house, around distractions, other dogs, and the specific situations tied to your actual lifestyle.
BY COMPLETION
Independent Reliability
Most dogs are holding their training on their own by the end of the program. Some behavioral cases, like significant reactivity or anxiety, take longer and continue through backend private lessons.
AFTER
Maintenance, Not Maintenance Mode
This is where unlimited follow-up support matters most. Life changes, and your training plan should be able to change with it.

Six sessions, structured in two phases.
WEEKS 1 TO 4, WEEKLY
Building the Foundation
Your first session is mostly assessment and baseline, figuring out exactly where your dog is and what your life actually looks like.
From there we build foundational commands and structure at our training location, addressing the specific lifestyle goals we identified together.
AFTER THAT, BIWEEKLY
Proofing and Troubleshooting
This phase is where we start moving into real-world settings, including your home when it fits the plan, and troubleshoot whatever isn't sticking yet.
Any behavioral pieces, like leash reactivity or anxiety, get worked in here. You're in the room for every session, learning to handle it yourself.
Board and Train, Week By Week
Six weeks living and training in a real home environment with two trainers and a balanced group of dogs, not a kennel.
WEEK 1
Foundation and Trust
Building the relationship, structure, and baseline obedience in a real home setting.
WEEK 2-3
Core Obedience
Sit, stay, place, loose leash walking, and off-leash reliability where appropriate, built directly into daily routine.
WEEK 4-5
Real-World Proofing
Training moves outside the house and into the situations tied to your specific lifestyle, distractions, public spaces, other dogs.
Your in person private lessons start at week 4, next week 5 and final at week 6.
WEEK 6
Handoff Prep
We prepare your dog, and prepare you, for the transition home, including a full walkthrough of what your dog knows and how to maintain it.
AFTER PICKUP
Integration Lessons
Private lessons continue in your home so the training transfers to you, not just to your dog.
EVERY GROUND ZERO PATH INCLUDES:
Continued Support and Boarding
Unlimited follow-up support after your program ends, additional lessons whenever you need them, and discounted refresher boarding down the road.
Once you're a Tranquil family, that doesn't end when your program does.
Common Questions
What if my dog doesn't respond the way I expect?
Every dog progresses differently, and if something isn't working, we adjust the approach. That's exactly what unlimited follow-up support is for, it doesn't end when the program does.
What if I'm not sure which path is right for us?
That's exactly what the assessment is for, or just call us and we'll walk through it honestly.
How much does The Ground Zero Program cost?
Pricing depends on your individual family in most cases (discounts, number of dogs, etc) and which path fits your life, so we walk through that directly on a call rather than publishing a flat number here.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes, military and first responder, rescue, and multi-dog household discounts are all available.

My dog has a specific issue, like anxiety or reactivity. Is this program still a fit?
Yes, within reason. Obedience and puppy training are our focus, but leash reactivity and anxiety come up often enough that they're built into the program. More involved cases are handled through backend private lessons.
Do you offer payment financing?
We do offer in-house financing stretched over the course of three monthly payments. From there, additional financing through Affirm or Afterpay is available through our processor.
