AKC Canine Good Citizen certification
The Canine Good Citizen is a credential recognized across the country and a meaningful mark of a truly well-mannered dog. It can open doors to therapy work, certain housing, travel, and more. We prepare your dog for the evaluation and handle the registration, so your dog graduates not only trained but certified.
Immersive, transparent, and yours to keep
THE EXPERIENCE
This is immersive, in-home training delivered over six to eight weeks in a calm home environment rather than a kennel. From the day your dog arrives, you see the work as it happens through daily training photos and videos, so you are part of the journey rather than simply waiting at the end of it.
Where most trainers go quiet, we stay close. Every week brings a Saturday phone update on exactly how your dog is doing.
On top of that, the Academy Elite includes three written progress updates, at the end of weeks one, three, and five, that document your dog's development in detail.
And once your dog has settled in for two full weeks, you are welcome to visit in person on Saturdays between ten and twelve, beginning in week three.
Private lesson clients receive the same depth of communication, adapted to their lesson schedule and delivered face to face at every session.
At graduation you receive a personalized, training manual created specifically for your dog, a complete daily record of their stay, your AKC Canine Good Citizen paperwork, and a graduation certificate.
Then we coach you through all of it, because a brilliantly trained dog and an uncoached owner is a result with an expiration date. Not here. The training becomes yours, supported for the life of your dog.

Most board and train works like a black box. You hand over your dog, you hear very little for a few weeks, and you get back a dog who responds to a trainer, a list of commands, and a quick goodbye. What happened in between is a mystery, and what happens next is left to you.
