WHAT COACHING WITH ME LOOKS LIKE
01
Relationship First
"Your dog does not have a behavior problem. Your dog has a communication gap. Our job is to close it. Permanently."
Samantha Porter, Founder
Every lasting result begins with trust. We build the relationship before we build the behavior, because a dog that trusts its handler will do anything asked of them.
02
Root Cause Training
We do not address symptoms. We find the source of the behavior and address it there, which is why our results hold long after the training ends.
03
You Learn Too
A trained dog and an uninformed owner is a temporary result. We train both of you, because the relationship you go home to is the one that matters the most.
04
No Shortcuts
We move at the pace the dog requires. Never faster. The shortcuts that feel efficient in week one become the setbacks that cost you months later.
So if you're looking for a two week E-Collar coverup, we are not for you, and that's more than ok.

The Trainers Behind The Work
Samantha Porter
Seventeen years ago, Samantha Porter began working with dogs and quickly discovered something the industry rarely talks about: most dog problems are not dog problems at all. They are the result of what is happening on the other end of the leash. The energy being carried, the patterns being reinforced without awareness, the leadership vacuum that a dog is simply trying to fill.
That discovery shaped everything. It shaped the way Samantha trains, the way she consults, and ultimately the philosophy behind her forthcoming book, The Dog Mirror. Her work is not about managing behavior on the surface. It is about finding what is actually driving it, and changing that.
Samantha has worked with thousands of dogs across a wide range of behavioral challenges, specializing in cases that other trainers have tried and returned.
Aggression, severe anxiety, multi-dog conflict, and trauma-based reactivity are not the exception here, they are the specialty. If your dog has a history of being difficult, that is exactly the right reason to call.
In addition to her training practice, Samantha holds certifications in life and business coaching and brings that same framework of honest assessment, root-cause identification, and behavioral change that lasts to both her canine and human clients.

THE ENVIORNMENT
Where Your Dog
Actually Lives
BOARD & TRAIN
There are no outdoor kennels here. No commercial runs. No concrete floors to pace on. When your dog boards with us, they become part of our household, and that distinction is everything.
Dogs live inside our home exactly as they would in yours.
Real furniture, real routines,
real life.
Home Integration
Six of our own dogs provide a stable, calm social environment that no commercial facility can replicate.

WHY IT MATTERS
A dog that boards in a home
trains in a home.
The environment shapes the dog. A dog that spends its days in a run learns to exist in a run. A dog that lives in a home, navigates real furniture, manages real distractions, and interacts with a real pack and real visitors, that dog is building the exact skills that matter in daily life.
When your dog comes home, the transition is smooth because the environment was never foreign. Everything they learned here, they learned in a context that looks exactly like where they are going back to.
Four trainers on-site daily. Four sets of experienced eyes on every dog, every day.
With our Limited Spaces, we offer more hands on for the quantity we serve, ensuring safety and proper enrichment/time.
Four Trainers
Fully fenced outdoor space for exercise, enrichment, and the kind of freedom that makes a difference.

THE PRIVATE LESSON DIFFERENCE
PRIVATE LESSONS
Your Home. Your Dog. Your Results.
A group class puts you in a room with ten other dogs and ten other problems, and divides one trainer's attention across all of it. That is not what happens here.
When we come to you, everything we do is built around your dog, your home, your street, and the specific challenges showing up in your specific daily life. There is no divided attention. No waiting your turn. No environment that has nothing to do with where your dog actually lives and what they actually need to navigate.
Every minute of every session belongs entirely to you and your dog. No sharing, no waiting, no distraction.
One-on-One Attention
You learn as your dog learns. We explain every decision, every correction, and every moment of progress so you understand exactly what is happening and why.
Coached in Real Time
WHY IT MATTERS
You Are Your Dogs
Mirror
The reason private lessons produce results that hold is not complicated. The behavior you are dealing with exists in your home, on your furniture, at your front door, on your street, in your car. That is exactly where it needs to be addressed. Taking your dog somewhere else like ONLY a park or facility room to work on a problem that lives at your kitchen table has never made sense to us, and it never will.
What makes our private lessons different is that you are never a spectator. Every session, you are being coached in real time.
Learning to read what your dog is communicating, understanding why the behavior is happening, and developing the skills to handle it yourself long after we have gone. Because a dog that only behaves when the trainer is present has not actually been trained. And an owner who does not understand the why behind the work cannot maintain it.
You live at home with more than a better-behaved dog. You live at home as a more confident, informed, and capable handler.
That combination is what makes the results last.
Because the training happens in your actual environment, the results live there too. There is no transition period, no adjustment phase. What your dog learns here is learned here, which is exactly where it needs to stick.
Results That Transfer
We work on your street, in your yard, at your front door, in the spaces where the behavior actually shows up. The training is always relevant because it is always real.
Your World, Your Rules
- THE BOOK -
The Dog Mirror
Transform Your Life. Transform Your Dog.
By Samantha Porter, Founder and Lead Trainer of Tranquil Dog Training

Your Dog is Not The Problem...
You have tried the programs. Watched the videos, taken the classes, hired the professionals. Done everything you were told to do. And yet here you are.
"What if the gap between the dog you imagined and the dog standing in front of you has nothing to do with the dog?"
The Dog Mirror is not a standard dog training book. It is a direct, honest examination of the most overlooked truth in dog ownership: your dog is a living reflection of your daily life, your patterns, your consistency, your energy, and your willingness to lead.
When your environment is chaotic, your dog becomes chaotic. When your follow-through is inconsistent, your dog stops trusting your words. The mirror does not lie. This book shows you exactly what yours is telling you, and how to change it.
